An outstanding bowling performance from Jayden Lennox helped Napier Technical Old Boys Cricket Club propel Cornwall to second place on the MJF Shrimpton Memorial Cup ladder.
Lennox took six wickets for just 13 races against Cornwall on Saturday at Cornwall Park in Hastings as Tech played their hosts for a total of 84.
They pursued this in just 13 occasions, with Izaiah Lange undefeated on 52.
Central Hawke’s Bay Cricket Club remain atop the cricket table for the first club in over 50 years after their 158-point victory over Napier Old Boys Marist at Nelson Park in Napier.
Hawke’s Bay captain Angus Schaw played for Central, scoring 82 points in the opening innings before taking six wickets for 23 points in the second.
In the other game of the fifth round, Havelock North chased Taradale’s 141 total with 13 overs remaining and six wickets in hand at Taradale Park.
