Louisiana Tech was scheduled to open the 2021 varsity baseball season at its new stadium.
After Illinois had to withdraw from the season opener at JC Love Field in Pat Patterson Park due to the Big Ten’s decision to only play conference games, Tech will now begin his scheduled season at LSU February 19-21.
LSU announced the four-team round robin for its Military Appreciation Weekend, but did not announce game times.
The Bulldogs will face Notre Dame on February 19 at 1 p.m. at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, followed by the Air Force at 1 p.m. on February 20 and LSU at 3 p.m. on February 21, someone with direct knowledge of TechL ‘ day’s schedule told The News Star.
The game will be the first of two between Louisiana Tech and LSU during the 2021 season. Tech will return to Baton Rouge for a midweek clash on May 11.
