Massive Mario Switch game sales are being held by Nintendo

Nintendo is running a new massive sale this week on several Super Mario series-related titles on the Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED consoles. For those of you who have been a Nintendo fan for a while, you probably know that Japanese game developers almost never release first-party games except in very rare cases. Luckily, ahead of “Mario Day,” which will happen this weekend, Nintendo has chosen to offer one of its best-selling games in 2023.

Starting today, March 5, and running through March 11, Nintendo is offering a 33% discount on nine different Mario-related games on Switch. Specifically, each game in this sale costs just $39.99 and is expected to be available at that price point at retailers including Amazon, Target, Walmart, and GameStop. In addition, the deal also applies to some of the most critically acclaimed games ever on Switch, such as Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

In addition to being tied solely to Super Mario, there are a number of games that Nintendo is introducing during this sale that one wouldn’t normally associate with the company’s mascot. In particular, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Yoshi’s Crafted World will also be on sale next week. While the two titles don’t feature the full Mario, Yoshi and Donkey Kong have historical ties to Super Mario, so it makes sense to see Nintendo rate those games as well.

Will you be looking to buy any of these Mario titles as part of this new promotion from Nintendo? Or do you already own most of the Switch games included in the sale?

And if you want to know more about each of the games included in this new Nintendo sale, be sure to continue reading below for descriptions and trailers for each title.
