Metroid Fusion is coming to the Nintendo Switch online soon

Game Boy Advance titles were added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack last month, giving subscribers access to a range of classic games. Today, Nintendo announced that Metroid Fusion will join this lineup starting his March 9th. 2D Adventure is his fourth game in the main series timeline and is set before the events of Metroid Dread. The addition of Fusion allows players to enjoy all five of his entries in the main saga on his one platform!Original Metroid on the NES app, Metroid II on the Game Boy app, Super Metroid on the SNES app, and more! Metroid Dread is available in the store and eShop.

In “Metroid Fusion”, Samus Aran is infected with the parasitic life form “X”. To save her life, Samus receives a vaccine with Metroid cells. You can find a trailer for the game in the tweet embedded below.

Metroid Fusion was released on the Game Boy Advance in 2002. The game was actually released on the same day as Metroid Prime, and both titles were able to unlock features from the other game.Metroid Prime players who won the game would be able to link with Metroid Fusion. In , we were able to get Samus’ fusion suit. Meanwhile, players in Fusion unlocked an image gallery to link the two games. The fusion suit didn’t really change from the main suit, but it was a nice perk for Metroid fans. Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn’t revealed if this feature will carry over to Metroid Prime Remastered.

Metroid Fusion is one of his two games in the series released on the Game Boy Advance. Metroid: Zero Mission was released on his platform in 2004 and features a remake of his original Metroid game. The game is currently available on the Wii U eShop, but will be offline this month. With Fusion coming to Nintendo Switch next week, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before fans can expect Zero Mission.Metroid fans will have to settle for the NES version for now!
