Microsoft announced new updates for the Surface Pro X laptop on October 1, 2020. The company has now released the updated Surface Pro X in India with a starting price of Rs 1,49,999. Available in two color options – Black and a new Platinum finish, the modernized Surface Pro X brings Microsoft’s latest processor and new app experiences.

With improvements like the Microsoft SQ2 processor included in the Surface Pro X, users expect improved performance and longer battery life. “Earlier this year, we launched Surface Pro X in India to push the boundaries of what an always-connected, ultralight and incredibly thin 2: 1 device could be,” said Rajiv Sodhi, COO of Microsoft India. “We’re now bringing new updates to Surface Pro X, including new app experiences, improved performance and a new platinum finish, delivering a new experience for those who need to be connected, productive and creative at any time.”

When it comes to new app experiences, Microsoft Surface Pro X brings Microsoft 365, Microsoft Edge, Netflix, Spotify and more while supporting existing Windows apps like Google Chrome, Firefox, and WhatsApp. The company says Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Teams have also been made faster while using less battery with new versions optimized for Windows on ARM. Visual Studio code has also been updated and optimized for Windows on ARM.

Since the Surface Pro X is a removable tablet with laptop, Microsoft will also unveil three new color options for the keyboard: Platinum, Ice Blue, and Poppy Red. The Signature Keyboard has the same built-in storage and wireless charging as the Surface Slim Pen.
