Google revealed last week that it would expand the availability of its previously Pixel-only Magic Eraser tool to include iPhones and other Android phones. The update should soon be visible within the Google Photos app, if it’s available on your phone, as the rollout has now started.
If you use a non-Pixel Android phone or an iPhone and are a Google One subscriber, the update will soon appear in your Google Photos account. You can now access the feature without having a Google One subscription if you own an older Pixel device without a Tensor chipset. Prior to this update, the feature was only available on Pixel devices with Tensor processing.
Go to any photo in your Google Photos Library, tap Edit, and then look under Tools to see if you have the feature yet. If it is, it will say Magic Eraser and have the Google One logo on the right side. Additionally, you might notice it at the top of Google Photos’ Suggestions menu.
