In light of the recent report by SI.com, Georgia Tech is focusing on improving its 2024 class with top targets for offensive tackle during the first weekend of official visits in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets have one offensive lineman committed and are targeting others to improve their future upfront.
One of the players scheduled to visit Georgia Tech is Terez Davis from Hyattsville, MD. He also has visits lined up to Syracuse and Virginia Tech, and it looks like it will be between those three ACC schools for him.
Jude Foster from Baton Rouge, LA, is a three-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite and is set to have an official visit to Georgia Tech on June 16th. He has already officially visited Ole Miss and has one lined up with Baylor after he visits Georgia Tech.
Jordan Floyd from Lilburn, GA, plays at Parkview High School and has been one of the top targets for Georgia Tech. He attended the first prospect camp at Georgia Tech last week and will take his official visit on June 23rd. He has other official visits lined up to UCF and Kentucky. He is a three-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite.
Jameson Riggs from Hiram, GA, is a three-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite and will be in Atlanta for his official visit next week. He visited Clemson this weekend and has one planned for Auburn the following week after visiting Georgia Tech.
Favour Edwin from McDonough, GA, is an interesting prospect that has been on the rise this spring. While he does not have an official visit lined up with Georgia Tech yet, he spoke highly of them this spring with FanNation’s director of recruiting Brooks Austin. “That head coach man, I am not going to lie, he is one of my favorites. The way he like… when I went over there, he did not say a word all of practice, he was just watching and observing and the other coaches, the energy there, I was experiencing the different coaches and culture so when I went to Georgia Tech, he was relaxed and observing everything, there was no music, if you messed up, he was a detailed guy. He lays back and watches the whole thing and lets other coaches handle it but he is actually in control. He watches it from…”
Improving the offensive line is a top priority for Georgia Tech, as they brought in five recruits for that position last recruiting cycle. With only one offensive lineman committed, they are going after more top targets to improve their future upfront.
Georgia Tech is looking to build a strong 2024 class, and targeting top offensive tackle prospects is a key part of their strategy. With official visits underway, it will be interesting to see which players commit to the Yellow Jackets and help improve their offensive line in the years to come.
