At the end of December, PlastiCert installed two new Cincinnati Milacron injection molding machines – 200 and 315 tonnes – completing the company’s fleet which includes vertical and horizontal presses ranging from 30 to 500 tonnes.
These aren’t the only injection molding machine additions the company has in 2020. In March, it added a 55-ton VC-2R Multiplas vertical clamp. Previously, it expanded the upper range of its fleet with a new 500-ton Cincinnati Milacron MT. This press replaced a used 440 tonne baler acquired by the company in 2006.
In a statement, PlastiCert said the arrival of these latest machines has enabled it to decommission several older presses. The production area has also been redesigned for greater efficiency and reduced flow. The new machines are the culmination of an investment of nearly $ 1.5 million in the company.
These investments are part of a capital improvement plan drawn up in 2017 which aims to replace all of the company’s older major equipment …
