TOKYO (Reuters) – SoftBank Group Corp’s Vision Fund is preparing to launch a blank check acquiring company and will outline its plans in the next two weeks, a source familiar with the matter said, confirming the fund manager’s comments , Rajeev Misra.
SoftBank is looking to attract outside investment and could put its own capital in the vehicle of undetermined size, the person said, declining to be identified because the information is not public.
SoftBank declined to comment.
