Check out Gmail now. There is a very useful button that too many people miss.
Unlock a clever hack that solves one of Gmail’s biggest problems.
You may have missed the snooze button.
Only visible when hovering over an email (far right).
If you’re using the Google Gmail mobile app, you’ll need to select your email and tap a submenu to access it. It’s so hidden that you can be forgiven for not noticing or using it.
But hitting snooze on email has some serious benefits.
The selected emails are removed from your inbox and redelivered later.
It is very convenient because it prevents you from forgetting to retrieve important emails.
If you read an email and forget it, it will be buried forever. But Snooze will bring important emails back from the dead if you’re willing to deal with it.
“Move emails and temporarily remove them from your inbox until you need them,” he explains Google.
“Your email will appear at the top of your inbox when you need it, tomorrow, next week, tonight.”
Click the Snooze button to choose a suitable time to redeliver the email.
You can choose to receive it in the evening or another day.
Of course, it is possible to find deferred emails before they are redelivered. It’s not showing up in my main inbox, but it’s showing up in my Snoozed folder.
You can find this folder in your web browser on the left side of your Gmail account, or in the left menu of your mobile app.
