The creators argued that if the app closed in the United States, they wouldn’t be able to make a living. The judge sided with the arguments of TikTok influencers. She said in her ruling that creators “would lose the ability to engage with their millions of subscribers on TikTok and associated brand sponsorships.”
“We are pleased that the judge has ended this ban, which exceeds the authority of the president under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, namely parts of the law that reflect our country’s deep commitment. for free speech, ”Ambika Kumar Doran, senior advocate for w influencers, told The Verge.
The Trump administration attempted to ban the Bytedance-owned app from August of this year. President Trump had signed an executive order against the short video platform on national security grounds. While the new order might have disappointed the Trump administration, TikTok is happy with the new injunction.
