The company has also partnered with Netflix, Amazon, Hotstar to allow its Mi TV users to access streaming apps using its custom Android based skin.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi also faces tough competition in the end market. Rival Realme is aggressively launching new smart TV models with high-end features but with a low-cost sticker. OnePlus has also entered the budget segment with its Y series TVs, which will be up for grabs with a discount of Rs 1000 at the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. Other competitors include Vu Televisions, Kodak, Thomson and Samsung, which are waging an uphill battle for Xiaomi in the TV market in India.
