Terma will buy a part of Atos’s space business

Terma acquires Atos’ satellite ground testing business, which includes satellite electrical ground support equipment (EGSE). The transaction expands Thelma’s position in the European space market. The acquisition will add significant capabilities and business opportunities to Terma’s space portfolio.

“This is an important strategic acquisition for Thelma. Space activities play an important role not only in understanding our climate and environment, but also in matters of defense and security. Jess Munch Hansen, CEO of Thelma, said: in a press release.

Future acquisitions will include his three main applications: payload testing, radio frequency (RF) subsystems, and performance testing.

The deal is still subject to regulatory approvals and labor negotiations, and the companies expect to complete the transaction by March 2023. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Experienced Athos space experts from Austria, Romania and the Czech Republic will join Thelma’s team. Thelma will take this opportunity to establish companies in three countries and strengthen its presence in Europe. All business activities will continue under the Terma brand.
