“We’re getting a lot of word-of-mouth advertising and people that I’ve never been here before that come in and see us,” Be Sweet Cafe and Bakeshop Owner Carrie Litz shares, “Our goal is definitely not just one shop, business wise. We’re definitely considering and looking for multiple locations. The sky’s the limit for Be Sweet.” Be Sweet Cafe and Bakeshop recently expanded its business space with continued support and growth from the community. Between serving breakfast, lunch, and sweet treats, “Be Sweet” is a few scones away from having multiple locations.
Its major stock and variety of discs appeal to regulars and new customers where every inch of the store is needed to make profits.
Treats for the mouth are not the only thing making sales. Triple Play Records is jamming out to a soundtrack of success, seeing busy days more than ever after over three decades of music and business evolution.
“We’ve put in 34 new racks, replaced old racks, put up new poster racks. We’ve added stickers, buttons, there’s a ton of inventory in the store,” Triple Play Records Manager Matthew Cesario describes, “We are constantly ordering. We’re actually getting ready for Christmas now because the word on the street is that a lot of the things are gonna dry up, especially electronics by Christmas.”
Whether it’s dining or retail, local businesses will supply public demand. As the economy bounces back, remember more of every dollar you spend goes toward the city when you shop and eat from local and small businesses.
