ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Local community organizations have formed a coalition to help the Winnebago County Health Department get people vaccinated.

Volunteers from Rockford United Labor AFL-CIO, NAACP, AAUW, League of Women Voters, Rockford Today Network and Women’s March Rockford to get vaccinated site every day for 90 days to help patients get vaccinated site, and pushing wheelchairs for those who cannot walk site, according to Rockford United Labor.

Nancy Jenkins of The Salvation Army came to Rockford United Labor with need when it became apparent that many elderly citizens were unable to get to the vaccine. site. Rockford United Labor then worked with coalition partners to recruit volunteers.
