MERIDIAN, Miss. (OMCK) – Meridian police are investigating two shootings that took place Monday and Tuesday.
The first shooting took place Monday afternoon in the 3400 block of 20th Street. The police said a woman was shot in the leg while walking.
“She was just walking in the area when several shots were fired. Fortunately, the victim was hit only once. No further damage was caused by the shooting itself, ”Sgt. Said Brandon Fireplace.
The second shooting took place Tuesday morning on 20th Avenue. Fireplace said the victim was shot several times.
