The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will receive a security update in January 2023

Some Galaxy phones will still get access to December 2022 security updates, but the Galaxy Note 10 has the edge. This smartphone is the first Android device in the world to receive the January 2023 security update. The latest software update for Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ ships with firmware version N970FXXS8HVL3. The update is currently rolling out in Switzerland and will roll out to other European countries in the coming days. The rest of the world should receive the update by the end of this month.

At the end of 2021, the smartphone received the One UI 4 update based on Android 12. The Galaxy Note 10 series is not eligible for the Android 13 update.

Samsung has not disclosed which vulnerabilities will be fixed in the January 2023 security patch. Swiss Galaxy Note 10 series users can download new software updates by going to Settings » Software Updates and tapping Download and Install. You can also download the latest firmware file (above). Download from firmware database and flash manually. Samsung launched his Android 9 powered Galaxy Note 10 series in late 2019. This range of smartphones received an Android 10 update in early 2020 and an Android 11 update in late 2020.
