    The Student Government Association (SGA) reconvened for their final meeting of the semester on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Treasurer Jenny Chen presented the Bloomberg Center Visit Travel Funding Bill, which aims to secure funding for an SGA excursion to Washington, D.C. for SGA members to learn about and tour the new Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue. The bill passed unanimously.

    Major Fair Event and South Asian Studies Minor

    Timothy Huang presented the Major Fair, an event designed to help students explore different majors offered at Hopkins. It is currently scheduled to occur in the Great Hall and Glass Pavilion on Feb. 16 from 1–5 p.m. Food, photos, stickers, and Life Design Lab merchandise will be provided. Sophomore Class Senator Srigouri Oruganty proposed a South Asian Studies Minor, advocating for Hopkins to offer this program as other institutions do. She asked SGA to assist with this initiative by contacting faculty and student organizations with the proposal.

    The meeting concluded with the passing of the African Fashion Show Funding Act, as well as amendments to the SGA constitution and the Student Activities Commission bylaws, all of which passed unanimously.
