Twitter suspended Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., for 12 hours on Sunday, saying she repeatedly violated the company’s disinformation policy.
“The referenced account has been temporarily locked for several violations of our civic integrity policy,” said Twitter said the spokesperson.
Greene’s most recent posts included one that made false claims about widespread electoral fraud in Georgia both in the November election and the January 5 Senate run-off, as well as a series of tweets that repeated claims more debunked and called Georgian election officials “morons.” “
Twitter restricted the promotion of these posts and slapped them with warning labels. Greene’s account has remained online, but she is unable to post.
