Nick Chubb, one of the premier running backs in the league, suffered a knee injury during Monday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Chubb was hit low by Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, causing his left knee to go inward.
Chubb had previously torn multiple ligaments in his left knee during his college career.
The severity of Chubb’s current injury is still unknown, but initial outlook is not optimistic.

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb, considered one of the premier backs in the league, suffered a grisly knee injury on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chubb was carted off the field and quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game. On a carry in the second quarter, Chubb was hit low by Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and his left knee went inward. Chubb previously tore multiple ligaments in his left knee during his college career at Georgia, and it’s the same knee he injured on Monday. The Browns will now await official word on the severity of Chubb’s injury, but at first look optimism is not high.

Following Chubb’s departure, running back Jerome Ford came in and caught a 3-yard touchdown pass.
