The US Postal Service, the Census Bureau and the Small Business Administration face serious challenges that must be addressed by Congress and executive management, according to the Government Accountability Office’s latest High-Risk report, released Tuesday.
Published since the 1990s, the semi-annual report focuses on “government operations more vulnerable to fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement, or which need transformation to meet the challenges of economy, efficiency or efficiency ”. In addition to identifying problem areas, GAO provides recommendations on how to reduce the risks associated with them.
