There are actually two host agreements, one for the medical component and one that came later for the recreational sales – both for the same site at 112 Main St. Selectmen OK’d the change Tuesday night in its host community agreement with the town. The recreational sales will continue at 112 Main St.
Shelley Stormo, representing the company, said the change should improve the experience of medical marijuana purchasers, with more privacy, and will double the amount of parking available.
The board approved altering the first agreement to reflect the new name and location.
Stormo said the company will be hosting a community outreach hearing on the change as per state regulations.
Town Administrator Derek Sullivan also provided a COVID update during the meeting,
He said there were about 50 positives noted in the previous report, and that this week’s was 61 new confirmed cases with one confirmed death.
He noted an “interesting” statistic: 86 percent of the new positives who had been eligible for vaccination had not been vaccinated.
