The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 1,119 additional COVID-19 cases and six new deaths on Sunday.
Wisconsin has now recorded a total of 532,971 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 5,691 deaths among those who have been infected, according to data from the Department of Health.
The additional cases reported on Sunday were lower than the seven-day average for new cases of 1,596. The seven-day average is down from Jan. 11, when the average of confirmed cases this week was 2,915.

The six new deaths were also significantly lower than the seven-day average of 34 deaths, although the numbers are generally lower on Sunday and Monday.
The state’s health department also reported an additional 67 hospitalizations with COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of people hospitalized due to the contagious virus to 23,692.
