ANN ARBOR, Michigan – YORK has become synonymous with community and collaboration in Ann Arbor.
Located on Packard Street, the company has served Tree Town for decades, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has evolved into a great place for small business collaborations and safe socializing.
Using the open-air space next to the building, affectionately known as the Yard, the owners of YORK have made it a place where patrons can enjoy food and drinks.
During the summer, that meant setting up social distancing tables and chairs for food truck tours and pop-up events. Now visitors can sip their drinks seated next to one of the eight fireplaces.
“There are silver linings to it [the pandemic]Said owner Tommy York. “Probably not enough to make it worth it, but kindness does happen…”
