In a recent column, Amber Nichols-Buckley, speaker at Ole Miss, criticized Senator Roger Wicker for working to preserve the ban on taxpayer-funded abortions. Ms Nichols-Buckley says she sympathizes with Senator Wicker and the pro-lifers “… because their faith and their hearts are so aligned with the idea that life begins at conception and should be protected at all costs.”
Rather than dealing with the idea that life begins at conception, she starts from the argument that if abortion is limited, women “will suffer from a lack of access to family planning and necessary screening. and vital. Why would she be the linchpin of why pro-lifers oppose abortion in the argument of the supposed benefits of abortion? Could it be that she understands that if life begins at conception, then aborting the child in the womb would kill a human being and, therefore, great moral harm?
