What sets them apart is their design, they absolutely scream sophistication as soon as you take them out of the box. we gave them a try, and in this Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review, we will walk you through all of our findings to help you figure out whether or not this is the right choice for you.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review: Design and Features

While the Sennheiser earbuds Momentum True Wireless and Momentum True Wireless 2 are very good in many ways, they’re pretty bulky by current TWS flagship design standards. The Momentum True Wireless 3 is vastly improved in this regard, with a smaller and much better form factor that better suits its premium positioning. As a result, the earphones no longer protrude from the ears as much and are much lighter and more comfortable. Luckily, this didn’t detract from anything else in terms of design; The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 are good looking headphones.

The earphones have a large and clear Sennheiser logo on their flat outer surfaces, small ear wings to achieve a snug fit, and silicone ear tips that have a layer of foam over the vents. The logo area is touch-sensitive for controls that are customizable through the app. The flat, large surface made it particularly easy to operate these touch controls.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review: Comfort and Fit

The Momentum True Wireless 3 carry their weight of 0.21 ounces fairly easily. The ergonomic shape is complemented by a rubber stabilizer on each eartip, and together with the choice of silicone ear tips, it’s just an instant to achieve a snug, stable and utterly comfortable fit. Once that’s done, the Sennheiser stay comfortable hour after hour. And thanks to their IPX4 rating, they remain comfortable in all realistic conditions.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review: Sound

The level of performance that true wireless earbuds are capable of today has come in leaps and bounds in recent years, and the Sennheisers speak for it loud and clear. While perhaps an espresso shot is close to being considered exciting-sounding, otherwise they’re right up there some of the most sonically refined pairs of their kind we’ve heard.

As with the Momentum True Wireless 2, clarity, sophistication and spaciousness are the order of the day. Sennheiser has simply taken these talents to new heights while increasing detail resolution to ensure the Momentum True Wireless 3 push the line’s sonic capabilities in the right direction to compete with the best. And they compete.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review: Audio Quality

The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 are equipped with a 7mm dynamic driver, making them the premium true wireless earbuds you could ask for in every way. The Momentum True Wireless 3’s sound quality is excellent, and the well-tuned active noise cancellation makes the experience even better.

If you want, you can adjust the sound by using the Smart Control app’s EQ function to fine-tune the sound. The Momentum True Wireless 3 was able to deliver premium sound quality with a wide range of genres in our playlist. There’s plenty of depth in the bass and mids, while the highs are extremely clear.

Noise Cancelling and Transparency Mode

The noise-cancellation is very competitive and the anti-wind setting available in the Controls app is among the best of its kind. The earbuds for traveling  protrude slightly from each ear, and the outer casing seems prone to gusts of wind. But when the anti-wind mode was activated while standing on an exposed and blowing platform, it was very effective in making the sound of the wind disappear. In testing, the earbuds essentially dialed back heavy low-frequency rumble like you hear on an airplane. But capturing a busy restaurant with plates clinking and boisterous conversation was more of a challenge, the ANC dampened the lows and mids well enough, but the high-mids and highs made it through the circuit without much trouble. To be fair, many true wireless ANC options struggle in this test.

The transparency mode is good and, like its predecessor, very useful for close-up interactions, to talk to someone face-to-face, but was less effective at pulling out platform announcements during train commutes or more distant interactions. Unlike its predecessor, however, the level of transparency can now be adjusted, allowing you to control the amount of background noise that is let in. Another app customization option allows you to pause music when transparency mode is on.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review: Connectivity and Settings

The earphones support standard Bluetooth 5.2 with the universal audio formats SBC and AAC. But they also support the very latest audio format, aptX Adaptive, which when used with a compatible device offers better audio quality and lower latency, which is especially good for gaming.

However, only a handful of newer Android smartphones currently support aptX Adaptive. The earbuds can be used independently, which is convenient for calls. our voice sounded a bit robotic on the phone, but it was clear even in noisy environments and effectively blocked out background noise.

Bluetooth connectivity to a number of phones, tablets and best computers has been rock solid, but they only connect to one device at a time at this time. An update to support simultaneous connection with two devices, for example a laptop and a phone, is promised for a later date.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review: Call Quality

When taking calls through the Momentum True Wireless we have never had any issues such as: For example, the call disconnecting for no reason, or the other person’s voice cutting out or sounding unclear between calls. If you’re someone who makes a lot of calls and typically uses earbuds to join them, the Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds should give you a smooth experience.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 review: Battery Life

The Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds themselves last the thick end of seven hours of performance. The 2.33-ounce charging case holds an additional three full charges and, like the earbuds themselves, is smaller than its predecessors.

28 hours all in all isn’t a bad total at all certainly it should prove to be sufficient for the majority of users and 10 minutes of charging gives 1 hour of music playtime. However, there’s no escaping the fact that the corresponding Sony’s last longer and if you add up points of difference, well, here’s another.

Final Words

The hefty price tag of true flagship wireless headsets may still be a stumbling block for most buyers, but if you’ve got the budget, the rewards are well worth it. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 are a fantastic pair of true wireless earphones that combine good, detailed sound with a sense of character and flair, excellent ANC performance, a greatly improved design and decent battery life.
