What isDelete key

The Delete key is a key on most computer keyboards, usually used to delete either (in text mode) the character before or under the cursor, or (in GUI mode) the currently selected object. The key is sometimes referred to as the “forward delete” key. The reason for this is that the backspace key also deletes characters, but to the left of the cursor. On many keyboards, such as most Apple keyboards, the backspace key is also referred to as the “delete” key.

In Microsoft Windows, deleted files are sent to the Recycle Bin. On Apple computers, deleted files are sent to the Trash. In most operating systems, when files are deleted, they are only marked as such, but still exist on the hard drive until they are overwritten by other data. This condition is what makes data recovery possible.
