How to unlock Rake and Scrappy Rake in Enshrouded
Once you hit Level 2 and unlock the Blacksmith, you can quickly find the crafting recipe for a simple Rake. You need to build a Workbench and gather Stone, Strings, and Wood Logs to get it. After getting these things, go to your Workbench and you should see the Rake recipe next to the Glider, Grappling Hook, and Storage choices under the Survival section.
- Get the Journal out.
- Go to the Workshops tab.
- Pick out Workbench.
- Find the Rake recipe and scroll down.
- Save the recipe.
Importance of Unlocking Rake and Scrappy Rake
Rake (Unlocked at Level 4):
- Melee Attack: Slashes at enemies in a cone in front of you, dealing 1d4 damage. This attack could hit more than one enemy. Helpful for Fighters, Rangers, and other close-range characters who want to do damage to a large area.
- Knockback: Can knock enemies to the ground, which can be useful for strategy because it changes where they are standing and stops their attacks. Useful for taking over the fight and making gaps for your team.
- Synergy with Feats: Works well with feats like Polearm Master or Sentinel, giving you extra hits or chances to attack when an enemy stands up after being knocked down.
Scrappy Rake (Unlocked at Level 8):
- Better Damage: Rake now does 1d6 more cutting damage. Even though it seems like a small thing, it consistently does more damage, which is helpful for characters who rely on melee weapons.
- Bonus Action: It can now be used as a bonus action, which means you can do it along with other actions on the same turn. This gives you more actions and damage, so you can hit twice or do other things while Rake is attacking.
- Enhanced Control: Gives you an edge on saving throws against being knocked down, which makes you more resistant to enemy attacks that try to move you out of place.
