Check How to resize an image on Windows PC or Mac

Whether you’re using macOS or Windows, there are plenty of great programs out there for resizing an image. Of course, the results will vary depending on the programs you are running. Even if you’re just a hobbyist photographer using the camera on your latest smartphone, you probably know that camera technology has come a long way in recent years. While the quality of images and photos has greatly improved, this poses a real problem when you want to post your image online. The problem with uploading high-resolution images is that their high pixel content makes uploading the image a very power-intensive process for computer processors. This can not only lead to slow page speed but also frustrating user experience as your website takes a long time to load which annoys the user.

Even if it’s not your website, resizing your image can reduce the file size. Since many websites have maximum image file size requirements, compressing and reducing image size while maintaining quality is an important exercise. Maybe you need to upload a smaller version of a photo to Facebook (they do it automatically and wrong when you upload anyway) or some other social site. Maybe you want to include an image in an email that isn’t ridiculously large. Or maybe you want the right image size for a blog post or Word document. Whatever the reason, resizing an image is not difficult at all. We’ve rounded up our favorite tools for Windows, whether you need to scale just one image or an entire batch at once.
