Delete the GameUserSettings.ini file

  • Go to the game’s installation folder.
  • Locate the GameUserSettings.ini file.

  • Press the Windows + R key to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type %LOCALAPPDATA%\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor in the Run dialog box and press Enter.
  • Find the GameUserSettings.ini file and right-click on it. Select Open with and choose Notepad.
  • Find the line that says bUseDesiredScreenHeight=True and change the value to False.
  • Save the changes and close the file.
  • Launch the game and try changing the settings again. If it saves the settings this time, the issue has been resolved.

Disable Fullscreen Optimization

  • Right-click on the PUBG: Battlegrounds icon on the desktop and select Properties.
  • In the Properties window, click on the Compatibility tab.
  • Check the box that says Disable fullscreen optimizations and click on Apply and then OK.
  • Launch the game and try changing the settings again. If it saves the settings this time, the issue has been resolved.
