How to Use Conversations Widgets in Android

Follow these steps to pin a conversation to your home screen using the Conversations widget:

  1. Long press on an empty space on the home screen.
  2. Touch Widgets and select Conversations.
  3. Long press on the chat widget and drag it to an open spot on your home screen.
  4. Resize the widget as per your preference.
  5. Select the conversation you would like to pin when prompted.

You can adjust the size and position of the widget anytime even after placement. To select a new conversation, tap the pencil icon in the widget’s lower right corner.

Test Notes in the Conversation Widget

The Conversations widget combines all supported communication apps into one unique widget. The widget runs based on recent conversations you can link to and only displays the eight most recent conversations optimized for the widget. If you have no active conversations, the widget will not show up upon dropping it. Once attached, the conversation remains the same and can only be changed by following the above method.
