Where Is the Apple Watch Dock?

Just press the side button on your Apple Watch once to get to the dock. This isn’t the digital crown that’s the long, flat button next to it which opens the main Apple Watch app menu.
After that, you’ll see a list of apps that you can scroll through with your finger or the digital crown. You can use the dock in two main ways: as a “history” of the apps you’ve recently used, or as a fixed list of your favorites that you can open without having to go through all of your apps.

  3. If you want to use one of these apps, tap it.
  4. Forget an app, swipe left and tap the X button. If you set Dock to show your favourite apps, tapping X will take it off of Favourites.
  5. When you tap All Apps at the bottom, the app bubble will show up.
  6. Close the Dock by pressing the side button or the Digital Crown.

  • No matter what face you choose: Keep pressing the Side button, which is the button below the Digital Crown. The Dock view will then be shown.

  • When you’re in the Dock view, you can swipe up or down with your finger to move between your recently used apps or your favourite apps, based on how your settings are set up.
  • Get out your iPhone and open the Watch app: This is where you can change what’s in the Dock.
  • Click on “Dock”: Locate the “Dock” area in the “My Watch” tab by scrolling down.
  • Customize your favorites: Make your favourites your own: You can make your Dock show up to 10 of your most-used apps. To move them around, use the drag-and-drop feature.
  • Recently used apps: These most recently used apps will show up in the Dock view along with your favourites.

  • Be smart about it: Pick out apps that you use a lot and in a variety of situations. You could put a health app like Workout in one spot, a messaging app like Messages in another, and utility or entertainment apps that you use often in the other slots.
  • Plan your organisation: Sort your favourite things by how you use them. Put the apps you use the most at the top of the list, and group apps that do similar things together to make them easier to find.
  • Use Quick Actions: The Dock button of many apps has Quick Actions. For instance, Spotify lets you play certain playlists, and Podcasts lets you pick up where you left off with the most recent show. Check out these features to make things easier for people with disabilities.
  • Learn how to navigate: Touch or use the Digital Crown to quickly move between apps. To get to the app’s Quick Actions screen right away, press and hold the icon.
  • Use the swipe motions: Tap the “X” next to an app’s icon and swipe right to close it from the Dock.
  • Combine with complications: Put frequently used features from Dock apps on your watch face as complications. This gives you a different entry point without having to open the app all the way.
