What is causing the ‘Xbox Game Bar Not Working’?

  • The Game Bar feature is turned off by the Registry. A change made in the past could mean that a key in the Registry is stopping the Game Bar feature from running. In this case, the problem can be fixed quickly by making a change to the registry that lets the service behind the Game Bar start.

If files, processes, or dependencies used by the Game Bar service become corrupted, the feature will no longer work. In this case, you should be able to fix the problem by doing a repair install or a reset.
