Audio Pro Link 2 review (2023) a small and affordable device

The Audio Pro Link 2 is a small and inexpensive way to bring your old hi-fi system into the digital world.

The new version of Audio Pro’s Link1 has finally arrived. It will show your old and vintage HiFi systems how much you care about them. Audio Pro’s main goal is to give old owners a way to improve their sound without breaking the bank. Audio Pro Link 2 works like a hub, which lets it connect your old and new audio equipment. It does this by letting you use Google Cast and AirPlay2. But you don’t have to use these ways to stream if you don’t want to. Link2 also has Audio Pro’s own streaming system built in.

When used with its own streaming solution, Link2 will be easy to set up in a home with more than one room. There are also a good number of places to connect. There are RCA line-level outputs and inputs, optical and coaxial outputs, ethernet for wired connections, and USB ports for accessing external drives. The Audio Pro Link2 also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which make it easy to stream wirelessly.

And the top of the Link2 has preset buttons, just like the Audio Pro speakers. With the buttons, users can quickly get to their favorite media. So, Link2 can turn your old streaming system into something new and well-equipped.

Audio Pro Link 2 review

The Audio Pro Link 2 is about as small as you can get for a music streamer. In every way, even the tiny Cambridge MXN10 is bigger. Basically, this means that you can put the Link 2 with the rest of your audio gear without having to make room for it. The Link 2 doesn’t look like the most interesting piece of equipment. Aside from the shiny Audio Pro logo, this streamer is pretty plain and simple. It seems to be made to blend in with its surroundings.

It has four LED lights on the front that show which source is being used. The lights are easy to see from a distance, but the letters of the source are harder to read unless you’re up close. On the top of the device are touch-sensitive controls for power, source selection, pairing with Bluetooth, playback, volume, and the four presets. Again, these black buttons on the dark grey surface of the Link 2 are not easy to see, just like the writing on the front.

Around the back are the physical connections: Ethernet for a hard-wired connection, USB for adding a NAS, USB flash drive, or hard drive, digital outputs (coaxial and optical), and RCA line input and RCA line out. The output connects to an amplifier (and thus speakers), while the input can be used to plug in something like a turntable. It doesn’t have the 3.5mm jack that the Link 1 had to connect other devices.

The Audio Pro Link 2 is a wireless audio adapter that can be used in a variety of ways and has a lot of great features. With this device, it’s easy to connect your existing audio gear to make a system that works in more than one room or to make your old setup wireless. One of the best things about the Audio Pro Link 2 is that it works with a lot of different audio devices. This adapter can fit right into your setup, whether you have a stereo system, powered speakers, or even a turntable.

It has connections for both analog and digital audio, so you can connect almost any audio source to it. Setting up the Audio Pro Link 2 is easy because it is made to be easy to use. The device can stream high-quality audio over Wi-Fi and works with popular streaming services like Spotify and Tidal. The Audio Pro app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices, makes it easy to control and organize how your music plays.

The Audio Pro Link 2 lets you spread your music throughout your home by letting you use it in more than one room. Multiple Link 2 units can be connected wirelessly and set to play the same music or music from different sources in different rooms. This feature gives you flexibility and makes it easy to listen to your favorite music all over your living space.

The Audio Pro Link 2 has an impressive sound quality. It lets you stream high-resolution audio, so you can enjoy your music in all its beautiful detail. The adapter also has a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) built in. This helps improve the sound quality when digital audio sources are used.

Another great thing about the Audio Pro Link 2 is that it can be added to. It works with different Audio Pro wireless speakers, so you can set up a multi-channel sound system if you want to. This gives you the freedom to change your audio system to suit your tastes and needs.

Audio Pro Link 2 review

The Audio Pro App lets you stream music from the Audio Pro Link 2 to other speakers you own. The Link 2 will then show up as a streaming device that you can group, letting you set up a system that works in more than one room. This device lets you play a playlist anywhere in the house.

Now, as we’ve already talked about in this review, you can connect to the internet using Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth 4.2. Provide incoming signals that the Link 2 decodes and can be used to drive amplifiers and active speakers through optical, coaxial, or analog RCA outputs. Link 2 can also do this by sending its digital stream straight to an external DAC through its coaxial outputs.

Final Words

If you have Audio Pro speakers, the Link 2 lets you connect your old analog hi-fi equipment to your new digital wireless speakers. The specs are good for the price, as Spotify, Tidal Connect, AirPlay 2, and Chromecast can all be used to stream music wirelessly. The rich, warm sound is also nice, but the Cambridge Audio MXN10 is another streaming solution to think about if you want better sound quality and more features.

FAQs

Is Audio Pro a good speaker?

This is a great speaker that can be used as part of a multi-room system or on its own. It has great sound and a lot of ways to connect to other devices.

Why is audio so expensive?

There are two main ways in which a more expensive audio product can be better than another: the sound and the way it is put together. The curves and finishes of more expensive items tend to be more beautiful. The sound quality is more important.
